Line shaft and powered roller conveyors consist of a number of carrying rollers individually powered by drive belts from a rotating shaft. BMA Belting are able to cater for this specialised application with a large selection of custom made elastomeric round belting.
Solid PU O-Rings
Solid PU O-Rings come in 2 formations. For 90% of applications, a thermally fused (joined) round belt is adequate for the high intensity work load and flexibility required to drive the carrying rollers. BMA Belting are able to fabricate rings at any size or diameter between 80-90 shore hardness, depending on the elasticity required. All belts are fabricated in-house.
For all other high speed drives, we are able to source and distribute specially produced ‘seamless’ o-rings which are fully moulded without a join. This product is able to handle higher loads and speeds, and is available upon request
Twisted O-Rings
Twisted O-Rings are designed to replace solid polyurethane round belting on applications as they provide a much faster solution to install (on average 30-40 seconds per belt).
This in return dramatically reduces down time, as you can install all Twisted O Ring belts without ever dropping rollers or dismantling drive shafts to fit the belt. The very tips of these belts provide a loop that you can connect with a metal hook.
Twisted O Ring belts are size adjustable and can be slightly lengthened or tightened by twisting 1 end of the belt with your finger before putting the hook through the looped ends.
All Twisted O Rings are clear in colour and are designed in a 5mm diameter spun fashion with an 80A shore hardness.
