History
BMA Belting Australia officially started operation in the Mid 1980’s by Mr Mark Jeries. Operating as a sole trader out of a small factory in Leichhardt, NSW, Mark had dedicated himself to introduce a product unheard of in the Australian market. That product was Volta; a solid urethane hygienic homogeneous belt with no fabric plies. At first, it took the market a while to get used to the idea of using such a belt; however after the huge success of Volta in the food industry a new standard of hygienic belting was set. 30 years later, no other company has been able to match the quality and success that Brendma have managed to output with the Volta range in the Food Industry.
After a few years, BMA Belting Australia transformed from a small sole trader to a well established business and in 1987 a second branch was opened in Victoria and currently resides in Thomastown.
In 1990, BMA Belting collaborated with one of the world’s largest fabric belting producers, Derco Holland, to introduce their range of high quality PVC and Polyurethane conveyor belting into the Australian market. For over 20 years, BMA Belting has continued to be the sole distributor of Derco in Australia.
The immediate success of the Derco product was such an impact that the very next year (1991) BMA Belting Sydney needed to move to a bigger premise in Marrickville before moving onto it’s current location in Auburn in 1996. BMA Beltings success encouraged the company to become an elite member of NIBA (National Industrial Belting Association) in 1995.
In 2006, BMA Belting expanded into Queensland with an office and workshop currently residing in Carole Park. As a result of this success, BMA Belting became Australia’s largest family owned Conveyor Belting company, with 40 staff across 3 states plus a distribution network across Australia.
